Hi
I bought a sim card from ebay also, for both my 3G iPhone and my husbands 4G iPhone. I am in Australia, do I have to wait until I get to the US before I activate my card? I've been on the AT&T website to set it up but it says that the activation is taking too long and to try again later.
Also, the refill that is suggested, when looking on the AT&T website, doesn't say it is compatible for iPhones.

Hi,
(1) noramlly we recommend activate the SIM 2~3 days before visiting the USA. If you activate a SIM card now with NO refill, the card will only be valid for 14 days. So, either you activate it later, or you activate it now and keep refill it to keep the account valid.
(2) AT&T sometimes do website maintenance in USA night time, which can be painful for people on the other side of the planet. Please try to activate it during USA daytime.
(3) AT&T's GoPhone (prepaid) official policy does NOT support iphone to be used on data service. However, you can do an APN settings as follow to by pass that. We have thousands of customers done that and use iphone to surf the web with no problem.
