Hi
I bought a sim card from ebay also, for both my 3G iPhone and my husbands 4G iPhone. I am in Australia, do I have to wait until I get to the US before I activate my card? I've been on the AT&T website to set it up but it says that the activation is taking too long and to try again later.
Also, the refill that is suggested, when looking on the AT&T website, doesn't say it is compatible for iPhones.

Hi,
(1) noramlly we recommend activate the SIM 2~3 days before visiting the USA. If you activate a SIM card now with NO refill, the card will only be valid for 14 days. So, either you activate it later, or you activate it now and keep refill it to keep the account valid.
(2) AT&T sometimes do website maintenance in USA night time, which can be painful for people on the other side of the planet. Please try to activate it during USA daytime.
(3) AT&T's GoPhone (prepaid) official policy does NOT support iphone to be used on data service. However, you can do an APN settings as follow to by pass that. We have thousands of customers done that and use iphone to surf the web with no problem.

I recently purchased an ATT 3G cut to Micro-SIM card from you on eBay and would just like to clarify a few things as we are not travelling to USA until June so cannot really set it up until then.
The website for the Option 2 link on the accompanying letter looks a little different from the description.
At what point do I receive an ATT cell phone number?
Can I add data to the service?
Can I purchase the refill pin before I travel and then activate it when we reach Honolulu?

After activating simcard,you will get a new ATT phone number.And then you can add money to your phone number.You can buy pincode on http://www.aerobile.com/eshop/gophone-c-25_48.html?sort=2a&language=en When you add money to your ATT phone number,it can be use to talk and data service.
If you will travel to Honolulu in June,DO NOT activate your simcard now.Because the expiration date is 30days(after activating simcard without adding money).
